The Role

They are seeking a legal professional to join their growing team in Melbourne.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on some of Australia's most exciting renewable energy and battery storage projects, shaping the commercial frameworks that underpin their success.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project agreements, including EPC, O&M, connection, and long-term supply contracts.
  • Advising on project financing, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance within the energy sector.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of large-scale renewable generation and battery storage projects from inception through to completion.
  • Managing legal aspects of claims and disputes, with a focus on proactive resolution and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2+ years' PQE gained at a highly regarded law firm, or in-house within the energy, infrastructure, or resources sectors.
  • Strong front-end project experience is essential, with a track record of advising on complex, high-value transactions.
  • Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating large-scale infrastructure or energy project contracts.
  • Experience with renewable energy, battery storage, or other major energy infrastructure projects, ideally under EPC, O&M, or PPP delivery models.
