Job Title: Senior Renewable Energy Lawyer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to lead our country legal function and support the growth of the renewable energy industry in Australia.

This high-impact role will have high visibility from local and global leadership, with opportunities to deliver strategic legal counsel and drive business growth.

As a key member of our team, you will provide legal expertise on renewable energy project development, permitting processes, regulatory approvals, and compliance with Australian laws and regulations.

You will also draft, review, and negotiate diverse legal agreements, including contracts and submissions to government bodies.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Australia, holding an LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school.

They will have minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in a top-tier law firm or multinational corporation.

Strong knowledge of Australian energy sector regulations, corporate law, land use, and related compliance frameworks is essential.

Proven experience working with government bodies and regulators, with strong familiarity in licensing, permitting, and compliance procedures is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Australia.
  • LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school.
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian energy sector regulations.
  • Proven experience working with government bodies and regulators.
