Job Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Developmental Educator/Early Childhood Teacher to join our Autism-Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC) team.

About the Role

This is a part-time (2x days per week) permanent opportunity to work alongside Allied Health Professionals and Early Childhood Educators to provide high-quality services for children with autism in an early learning setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate the preschool curriculum within the National Quality Framework, including individual education plans that address the unique needs of the child.
  • Work collaboratively with families and provide strategies and support for children and families to work towards their NDIS goals.
  • Support the development, implementation, and review of positive behaviour support plans for children with autism.
  • Be actively involved in the mentoring of staff and students to ensure the highest levels of service delivery and program development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Disability and Developmental Education and full registration with the DEAI.
  • Experience providing therapeutic services to children, young people, and adults across a variety of settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
