About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Australia Operations Finance team in Sydney and Melbourne Corporate Office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our environmental initiatives and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data-Driven Insights: Analyze data on returns, concessions, and waste to uncover opportunities for improvement.
  2. Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and provide expert guidance on budgeting, planning, and capital expenditure.
  3. Collaborative Reporting and Analysis: Partner with stakeholders to provide insightful reports and recommendations, ensuring key stakeholders have the data and insights they need.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives and technologies, providing ROI evaluation and entitlement for initiative prioritization.
  5. Network-Level Strategy: Contribute to long-term Reverse Logistics topology planning.

A Day in the Life

You will start by reviewing the latest financial and operational data related to returns, concessions, and environmental impact. Throughout the day, you will work closely with Reverse Logistics Managers, Concessions teams, and Operations leaders, providing insightful reports and recommendations. Together, you will evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives that reduce our environmental footprint and enhance reverse logistics.

About the Team

Our team operates out of Sydney and Melbourne Corporate Office and we travel to the sites we support when required. Requirements

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience working with stakeholders.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • Finance experience, with focus on reverse logistics and sustainability.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
