About the Role

The Program Officer, HealthRoster is a key member of the System Efficiency Improvement and Support Team. This role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities with Local Health Districts and Networks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identification and design of strategies to meet rostering maturity towards optimisation for NSW Health
  • Implementation of change management initiatives, including planning, managing change, improving performance, risk management, and ensuring adoption of new initiatives
  • Project or program management, including planning, budget management, and achieving outcomes within deadlines
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication using Microsoft Office products in a creative format

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to motivate, influence, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Awareness of staff rostering procedures, protocols, and practices within a hospital environment
  • Demonstrated experience in project or program management, including planning, budget management, and achieving outcomes within deadlines
  • Superior verbal, written, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Advanced skills in communicating information to varying audiences
  • Capacity and willingness to travel to locations within regional towns and centres on an ad hoc basis

This is a temporary role up to 12 months, and the selection process will include comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role.
