About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse territory, preferably located in Adelaide, other locations within South Australia will also be considered. You will build strong relationships with our rural retailers, helping them achieve better outcomes for their businesses. This involves working alongside key farmers, fencing contractors, government bodies, and industry groups to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maximising sales revenue, margin, and volume of our rural products through extensive contact with end users, distributor clients, and key influencers of buying decisions.
  • Developing sales plans to achieve sales targets and monitoring market trends.
  • Achieving sales targets.
  • Influencing large contractors, end users, and other key stakeholders by articulating product benefits, demonstrating products, and providing training.
  • Preparing proposals and detailed costings in consideration of our environment and encouraging the purchase of higher margin products.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a robust understanding of the Australian agricultural industry and proven sales experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An agricultural-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for farming is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups.
  • A positive attitude and a drive to succeed.
  • Extensive training in the demonstration of a wide and growing range of our products will be provided.
  • A passion to generate new business opportunities and leads.
  • You'll be a self-starter and demonstrate a willingness to travel and be away from home regularly. You will hold a current and valid driver's license.
