Senior Contract Lead

About this Opportunity: A leading professional services firm is seeking an accomplished Senior Contract Lead to manage high-profile clients and complex technology-driven engagements.

About the Role:
  • Lead contract management teams across large projects, leveraging expertise in commercial contracting regulations, principles, and subcontracting practices.
  • Advise senior leadership on account strategy, risk management, and commercial opportunities, driving business growth in a dynamic environment.
  • Negotiate, draft, and manage agreements with government or public sector clients, ensuring compliance risks are minimized.
  • Take accountability for identifying, escalating, and resolving commercial and contractual risks, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Engage in pre-award sales activities and support deal shaping, collaborating effectively across cultures in a global setting.
  • Beyond that, build and maintain trusted client relationships at executive level, coaching, mentoring, and developing contract management staff across multiple projects.

About You: We seek a commercially astute leader with experience in contract management. Ideally, you will have worked within a Technology entity, professional services, or related fields. You should also be able to prove your ability to lead and develop teams, working on contracts involving government or public sector clients. Additionally, eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance is essential.

Requirements:
  • At least 7 years' experience in contract management, with proven success in managing compliance risks, investigations, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Proven experience working on contracts involving government or public sector clients, with strong understanding of commercial contracting regulations, principles, and subcontracting practices.
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative, inclusive approach and the ability to work effectively across cultures in a global environment.
