Salary

The base salary for this position is between $186,241 and $251,618 per year, depending on experience. With allowances, the expected salary is up to $354,479 per year. Additionally, you may be eligible for a rural health workforce incentive scheme of up to $10,000 per year.

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Psychiatrist to join our team in New South Wales. As a key member of our virtual mental health service, you will provide high-quality care to patients through cutting-edge telehealth technology. You will have the opportunity to lead teams and manage inpatients within the service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA;
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent specialist recognition;
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position;
  • Proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality services, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position;
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students and other staff of the hospital.
