Job Overview

The Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Senior Podiatrist to lead our Allied Health teams in delivering quality healthcare services in rural South Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in podiatry, with a strong focus on leadership and team management. They will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, developing and implementing clinical policies, and contributing to the development of new services and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Lead and manage a team of allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and programs to meet the changing needs of our patients.

Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in podiatry and registration as a podiatrist with the relevant state or territory regulatory body.
  • Extensive experience in podiatry, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information to patients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Location

The successful candidate will be based at our regional health service in Whyalla or Port Augusta, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree, and Leigh Creek.
