About the Role:

  • The Compliance, Governance and Risk Manager will lead the team and ensure the corporate governance, risk, and assurance functions meet requirements in accordance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the suite of corporate registers, including risk, policy, legal, and other contracts.
  2. Manage and coordinate insurance policy renewal and claims to support organisational needs.
  3. Develop and implement an internal audit schedule.
  4. Action constitutional requirements for members and directors.
  5. Maintain a corporate governance calendar, proactively planning action to meet required timeframes.
  6. Ensure the organisation adheres to all corporate governance registrations, standards, and frameworks.

About You:

  • You must be a great team member with a proactive mindset, solutions-focused, and outcomes-driven.
  • Bachelor in Business, Law, Legal, Justice, Human Resources, Management, Finance, and/or other related areas, and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing an internal audit schedule.
  • Understanding of constitutional requirements.
  • Ability to provide strategic and operational leadership, direction, and advice to the organisation on the delivery of effective frameworks and systems to support good governance and organisational performance management.
  • Oversee the implementation and review of governance and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Lead and embed a positive risk management culture and practices across the organisation.
  • Review and identify areas for improvement and implement best practice governance processes.
  • Excellent working skills using the MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
