Clinical Leadership Position for Experienced Midwives

As a Clinical Midwifery Specialist Grade 2, you will lead and mentor midwives in our team. You will provide trusted, connected care to Aboriginal women and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee case management of women receiving care in the Westmead MCP service.
- Mentor and support midwives employed in Dragonfly Midwifery Caseload Practice (MCP) at Westmead Hospital.
- Liaise with WMH Clinical Midwifery Educators (CMEs) to ensure standard excellence in midwifery practice is maintained.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- Post-registration qualification and minimum three years full-time equivalent post-graduate qualification experience in midwifery continuity of care/caseload/MGP practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultures and established links with local Aboriginal communities.
- Proven competence in advanced midwifery skills: perineal suturing, cannulation, maternal and neonatal resuscitation, speculum examination, and comprehensive assessment of the newborn.
