About the Role

The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation, management, and education of various data governance policies, procedures, processes, and ensuring governance roles are clearly defined and responsibilities fulfilled. You will work closely with stakeholders from across the University, as well as external partners, to participate in the design and delivery of the data governance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective data governance practices.
  • Design and implement data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze data governance metrics and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification or progress towards one in a related field.
  • Extensive relevant experience in data governance or a related field.
  • High-level interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in data governance, process improvement techniques, and toolsets.
Benefits

We offer a competitive remuneration package including:

  • $130,901 - $148,369 per annum.
  • Up to 17% superannuation and leave loading of 17.5%.
  • Generous maternity leave including primary carer parental leave of up to 26 weeks (including 17% super).
