Job Description

We are seeking an expert in mainframe storage management to lead our team's efforts in designing, building, and supporting zSeries Storage infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for managing complex projects, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in zSeries Storage Management/Engineering and experience working with IBM z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, IWS, DFHSM, DFDSS, ICKDSF, DFSMS, TDMF, GDPS, CSM, and CA1.

  • Perform technical project management role for large zSeries infrastructure deployment and evergreening projects

  • Setup automation to reduce manual interventions in the Storage infrastructure

  • Test new software and exploit functionality

  • Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity

  • Risk and Cost Management

  • Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services

  • Business stakeholder management

  • Vendor liaison and management

  • zSeries Storage hardware / software design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent technical skills in mainframe storage management

  • Strong project management and leadership abilities

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools

  • Knowledge of security, audit, risk, and compliance within enterprise IT environments
