Job Title: Policy Advisor

The Policy Advisor role is a key position within the Workforce Strategy team. This role is responsible for developing the kindergarten workforce strategy, which involves research and analysis on attraction challenges and identification of short- and long-term opportunities for reform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis to understand trends in workforce supply and quality
  • Providing high-quality written and verbal advice to leadership
  • Contributing to policy projects that build the evidence base and deliver on initiatives in the Best Start, Best Life Workforce Strategy
  • Developing a range of communication products, including slide decks, briefings, reports, and cabinet submissions
  • Using data insights to inform strategic policy development and options analysis
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to inform analysis and policy development

Requirements:

  • Relevant university qualifications or experience in a related field
  • Experience in policy design, development, and communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in early childhood education or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality policy advice and communication products
