
Child Safety and Wellbeing Specialist

The Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) Caseworker is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people within a collaborative service framework.
We are seeking experienced child protection professionals who possess excellent analytical, assessment, and communication skills to join our team in promoting positive outcomes for families and vulnerable children.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and address concerns for children and young people in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Foster child-centered practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their carers/family.
- Gather timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to inform evidence-based decisions that prioritize the safety, welfare, and well-being of children and young people.
- Model best practices in casework that demonstrate responsiveness to changing family needs and promote meaningful change for better outcomes.
- Build relationships across the program, practice, and legislative frameworks to drive effective collaboration and promote positive change in families.
To succeed in this role, applicants must demonstrate strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving, and exceptional interpersonal and self-management skills.
A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a current working with children clearance number are essential requirements.
