First Peoples Program Officer

About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to support Oxfam Australia's First Peoples Program Team in a permanent, full-time capacity.
As the central contact and administrative management point for the Unit, you will provide high-level administrative and project support to all staff.
In collaboration with Programs staff, you will assist with the coordination and upkeep of communications, including website, applications, and other communications as needed.
You will also play a critical role in strengthening stakeholders relationships internal and external.

We base all our work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the human rights of Indigenous peoples, recognised and articulated in the United Nations treaties and covenants.
We have a strong commitment to the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and have been working to support self-determination for over 50 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central contact, communication and administrative management point for the Unit.
- Support the delivery of gatherings and events: meetings, logistics, financial and administrative functions, community and participant liaison.
- Assist the team with the coordination and upkeep of communications.
- Strengthen stakeholders relationships internal and external.
