About This Role
The Star Sydney is seeking a skilled and experienced Safety and Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patrons, employees, and property.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control the entry of people to the site, ensuring that all patrons are complying with our policies and regulations.
- Provide information and assistance to patrons as required, promoting a welcoming and friendly environment.
- Work closely with the Surveillance team to proactively identify and report illegal and undesirable behavior.
- Assist with responsible services of alcohol, ensuring that all patrons are complying with our policies and regulations.
- Requirements:
- NSW SLED 1AC Security Licence
- NSW RSA and RCG Competency Cards and First Aid accreditation (or be willing to obtain)
- Customer service experience in fast-paced, licensed venues is advantageous
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster is essential
- Good communication skills, with a positive and professional attitude
