This position description outlines the general duties of a Security Officer, which can be performed in various sectors and roles. It serves as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

Additional Incentives
A sign-on and retention bonus is available for candidates who hold a current NV1 clearance and South Australian security license. This bonus comprises $1,500 on commencement of employment, $2,500 on completing 6 months, and $4,000 at 12 months of continuous service.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a security presence while remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed, and customer-focused team. You will provide exceptional customer service to all customers and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct guard patrols across the premises and be responsible for security site unlock and lock-ups.
- Escort staff and personnel on site.
- Monitor CCTV footage and take appropriate action in breach situations.
- Direct roving security officers to respond to alarms and take necessary action.
- Use appropriate methods of communication to report incidents and issues.
- Maintain logs and records of occurrences, complete necessary paperwork, and use a computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
Requirements
- Be an Australian citizen.
- Hold a current South Australian security license.
- Have a current South Australian driver's license.
- Certificate II in Security Operations or higher.
- NV1 Clearance or be willing to obtain it (MSS will facilitate and support candidates through this process).
- Be able to work in high-pressure environments.
- Be able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Be over 18 years old.

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
