Job Description:

As a key member of the Technical Services team, this Mining Engineer role is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering outputs through designing, monitoring, and communicating effective mine designs and schedules. This position requires strong engagement with key stakeholders, primarily mining operations, as well as direct involvement in the development of daily, weekly, and monthly plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and scheduling for draglines, rope shovels, hydraulic excavators, and haul fleet
  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements and site standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will display a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline, along with previous experience in mine planning within an Open Cut Coal Mining environment. Additionally, they should possess experience with CAD design software packages such as Deswik, shot plus, or Vulcan.
