Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Specialists to join our team. As a key member, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct care and support to individuals with various disabilities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Support clients in accessing medical appointments, community resources, social activities, and wellness programs, enhancing their overall quality of life.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment, respecting the rights and dignity of all individuals.
  • Monitor and document client progress, collaborating with healthcare professionals and other team members to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities (not essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities, promoting their autonomy and participation in community life.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • The ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes.

Our Commitment:

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
