Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialists to join our team. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, tailoring support to meet individual needs.
  • Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities, fostering holistic care.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, promoting a culture of respect and understanding.
  • Monitor and document client progress and care provided, ensuring accurate records and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure seamless care and support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are desirable.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
  • The ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes is required.
