The Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development has a vacancy for a Principal Advisor (Client Engagement). This role involves managing video production, organizing industry presentations, facilitating event channels, and engaging stakeholders to ensure the effective promotion of spatial services and the spatial industry to both internal and external clients.

As Principal Advisor (Client Engagement), you will oversee a dynamic team dedicated to promoting Spatial Information products and services. The team is responsible for identifying customer needs and assisting clients in the uptake of available products and services.

You will be responsible for leading the team to develop relationships with relevant stakeholders to liaise, consult, and negotiate with departmental clients, other levels of government, and external organisations on spatial information matters to achieve outcomes and deliver on Government commitments.

Key responsibilities include project management, overseeing multiple projects associated with the promotion of spatial services to a broader audience, and preparation of presentations, publications, and communications.

A demonstrated understanding of the Spatial Industry is desirable but not essential as it can be learned over time. You will maintain a contemporary knowledge and understanding of trends in industry spatial practices and services.

As a successful Principal Advisor, you will have high communication skills that enable you to respond with analytical and problem-solving capabilities, manage multiple complex projects, and lead a geographically dispersed team.
