Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and equipment operation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including forklifts, front end loaders, and tipper trucks. They will also perform quality checks on raw materials and glassware, monitor production parameters, and identify and report maintenance needs of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, front end loaders, and tipper trucks.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on raw materials and glassware to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production parameters, including temperature, pressure, and glass level, to optimize furnace performance.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Identify and report maintenance needs of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Assistance with Maintenance: Assist with mechanical maintenance and equipment calibrations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mechanical maintenance and equipment operation.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • A trade background is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
