About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team at Parmalat Australia. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished products, as well as raw materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished products, as well as raw materials
- Ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, in both written reports and verbally
- Maintain equipment as per cleaning and calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Receive, check, and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required
About You
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
- Have previous experience in a laboratory supporting a food manufacturing operation and knowledge of good laboratory practices
- Strong communication skills and a dedication to getting it right the first time
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Strong focus on quality and safety and able to work as part of an effective team
- Working knowledge of HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and OH&S is desirable but not essential
