The Operating Theatre Assistant is a part of the perioperative team delivering consistent, high-quality care to adult and obstetric patients undergoing surgery.We are recruiting a permanent full-time position.
This position supports our daily operations, and successful candidates need to be available for a 24/7 roster.Setting up the theatre for surgery with the required equipmentPatient positioning and transfersClean contaminated equipment and other used items as requiredGeneral housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste managementAbout youWork as an active team member to support all work tasksCommitment to ongoing service excellenceAbility to prioritise and organise work with minimal supervisionAvailable for a 24/7 rosterCurrently hold a Certificate III in Health Care Support (Operating Theatre Practice) or Certificate III in Health Services AssistanceMinimum of two years previous experience in an Operating Theatre Assistant role would be highly desirableMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
