Job Title: Aboriginal Child Protection Worker

  • We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Aboriginal Child Protection worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people
  • Collaborate with other agencies to resolve complex issues
  • Assist families in setting goals that align with their needs
  • Develop safety plans and conduct risk assessments
  • Manage high-needs cases and work with clients and their families
  • Participate in court processes and document preparation
  • Engage in individual and group supervision

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant diploma or degree qualification is highly preferred
  • Applicants without a qualification require at least two years of experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • A paid Working with Children clearance number
  • Documented verification of Aboriginality confirming your identity as an Aboriginal person
