Children with Disabilities Social Worker

Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children with Disabilities (CWD) Social Worker to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.

  • Statutory assessments are undertaken under the Children Act 1989, particularly sections 17 and 47.
  • Child in Need, Child Protection, and Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans are developed and reviewed.
  • Close collaboration with families aims to promote independence and improve outcomes for children with disabilities.
  • Schools, health professionals, and other agencies are liaised with to coordinate support.
  • Direct work with children and young people is carried out using suitable communication tools.
  • Reports for Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Reviews, and court proceedings are prepared.
  • Case records are maintained accurately and on time using the council's case management system.
  • Team meetings, supervision, and training participation support continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or complex needs.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and multi-agency working skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Enhanced DBS and full UK driving licence.
