As a Therapeutic Support Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of support professionals who deliver therapeutic care to children and adolescents within our out-of-home care framework. Your leadership will ensure the provision of high-quality support, guidance, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer mentorship, oversight, and training to the Therapeutic Youth Workers.
  • Administer and uphold staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Oversee the daily management of care for children and young individuals.
  • Facilitate and supervise the execution of care plans, documentation, and evaluations.
  • Guarantee the quality of life story documentation by the Therapeutic Youth Workers.
  • Address both informal and formal feedback and complaints effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting requirements, both internally and externally.

It is expected that you will complete a minimum of two scheduled shifts weekly, with hours to be arranged with the Service Specialist.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven management experience with children and young people in out-of-home care, particularly those with disabilities or complex needs arising from trauma.
  • Experience in supervising staff who encounter crisis situations regularly.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, Out of Home Care Standards, and associated policies.
  • Ability to implement culturally sensitive practices with Aboriginal and diverse communities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient administrative and computer skills.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Vaccination against Covid-19.
