Job Description

This role involves developing and implementing strong risk management practices within Business Banking at a leading financial institution. The Manager Risk and Control Enablement position plays a crucial part in fostering a proactive risk culture, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide strategic guidance and ensure alignment with Group frameworks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Representing the interests of Business Banking in designing, uplifting, and implementing non-financial risk frameworks.
  • Supporting the delivery of framework enhancements, guidance, and tools to drive consistent application across Business Banking teams.
  • Managing the Business Banking Top of House risk profile, coordinating inputs from across Business Banking to ensure accurate representation of its risk environment.
  • Collaborating with Business Banking stakeholders to effectively manage risks and compliance obligations, ensuring they are appropriately addressed and mitigated.
  • Detecting and formulating responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact the risk profile.
  • Advocating for the use of appropriate tools, practices, and frameworks to enable execution of risk reduction and proactive risk management.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in risk and control enablement, particularly within non-financial risk frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage and uplift risk frameworks and drive consistent adoption across diverse teams.
  • Experience with RCSA and CSA processes, including governance and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels.
  • A proactive mindset and passion for embedding strong risk management practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data-driven insights to solve problems.
