Our organization seeks a Support Worker to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support individuals in their daily lives, promoting independence and well-being. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with household chores and grocery shopping
  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments and administering medication as required
  • Engaging in recreational activities such as holidays, fishing, camping, and beach trips
  • Supporting social inclusion and community access
  • Participating in fitness and wellbeing activities
  • Developing independent living skills through various training programs
  • Implementing behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Providing personal care assistance when needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A current Blue Card for Working with Children or eligibility to apply
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance or ability to obtain
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Completion of NDIS E-Learning modules
  • Access to a smartphone with internet capabilities
