About this role

We're seeking a Student Progress Officer to play a key role in student success. You'll work closely with students, academic staff, and student services teams to identify challenges early, provide meaningful support, and ensure every student achieves their goals.

This is a hands-on student support role that offers no two days alike. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring student progress and identifying those at risk of falling behind
  • Conducting intervention meetings, developing tailored action plans with students
  • Providing advice on course variations and enrolment adjustments
  • Maintaining accurate, compliant records for regulatory requirements in VET and Higher Education
  • Collaborating with academic, wellbeing, and student services staff for a coordinated approach
  • Escalating complex cases to your Team Leader and contributing to process improvements
About you

You'll thrive in this role if you're organised, proactive, and passionate about student success. To be effective, you should bring:

  • Experience in student support, case management, or academic administration
  • Understanding of course progress monitoring, interventions, and compliance in VET or Higher Education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students from diverse backgrounds
  • Confidence in managing a busy caseload and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in student management systems and Microsoft Office
  • A professional and compassionate approach when handling sensitive matters
