The Student Achievement Manager will work collaboratively as part of amulti-disciplinary team to improve student outcomes. The SAM will provide intensive literacy and numeracy teaching support to schools and their workforce, with a specific focus on identified Year 10 students through the Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support Initiative (MYLNS)and also more broadly on all students who are below the expected standards through the Tutor Learning Initiative (TLI).

As a part of the SEVR School Improvement Workforce the SAM will report to the relevant Area Executive Director.

**The purpose of this role is to**:

- Work closely within and across schools to coordinate and monitor implementation of MYLNS and TLI
- Support schools to implement differentiated teaching practice approaches and implementation of effective assessment plans
- Support the identified teaching workforce by establishing and coordinating place-based Communities of Practice
- Ensure the integrity of the implementation process through monitoring and reporting, including contributing to the evaluation as required
- Support the school-based decision making process for the identification of students to be prioritised for each initiative (MYLNS and TLI)
- Provide general advice and guidance to schools to support the recruitment of appropriate staff

**Positions Availaible as follows**:
2 x 1.0 FTE in Bayside Peninsula Area
1 x 1.0 FTE and 1 x 0.5FTE in Southern Melbourn Area
Travel is a requirement of this position.

**Essential**: Relevant tertiary qualification Education or other relevant discipline

**Desirable**: A knowledge of schools, teaching or the education sector
