This role presents an exceptional chance to lead the strategic review and delivery of ancillary products. The successful candidate will oversee fund rules, provider recognition, and operational execution, applying clinical insight into general treatment services.

The position requires a deep understanding of health outcomes and value for customers, providers, and internal teams. It involves working closely with business leaders and stakeholders, including government, hospitals, and professional bodies, to influence decisions that shape product offerings and drive enterprise-wide impact.

This permanent full-time position can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. When not on site visiting hospital partners, you will have the flexibility to work from home or from one of our offices in these locations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience managing health fund ancillary products, including rules, restrictions, and benefits.
  • An understanding of the health insurance industry and legislation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ancillary product design and claims management.
  • Previous experience dealing with health professionals and industry associations.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in relation to business processes.
  • An ability to consult and liaise at various levels within the organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, forecasting, strategic, and innovative thinking required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Extras product design and claims management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing assessments of proposals against strategic criteria for significant business projects.
  • Strong program/project management skills, with a proven track record in delivering large-scale business projects and initiatives.

  • Managing ancillary claims costs through network and non-network to deliver sustainable value to the Customer, Provider, and stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing Ancillary partnerships and benefits.
  • Overseeing General Treatment association relationship management and representation at industry forums.
  • Managing ancillary benefits lines through Network and Non-Network providers.
  • Making recommendations and coordinating the introduction of new services and modalities.
  • Ensuring relevant process, procedures, and governance structures are in place.
