Agricultural Business Development Specialist

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be joining a dedicated and diverse team offering our local clients a full end-to-end suite of services from agronomy to real estate.

This role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving livestock sales, and identifying new business opportunities within your territory. You will play a critical role for your clients in the purchasing and sales process, providing industry-leading market insights and recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
  • Identifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunities
  • Developing and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors
  • Providing professional onsite livestock advice to clients
  • Employing tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together

You will also have the opportunity to auctioneer at the weekly sale and assist with promotional events.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the agriculture sector, and an understanding of seasonal requirements
  • Strong knowledge of livestock breeds, vet products, and low-stress stock handling, with a passion for driving client relationships and sales
