
Strategic Governance Advisor

As a Strategic Governance Advisor, you will be part of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General's team providing high-quality support to the offices of the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the proactive release process for the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
- Collaborating with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) on the implementation of administrative processes associated with the proactive release of Cabinet submissions.
- Reviewing and redacting Cabinet submissions as necessary, working with authors, and preparing them for proactive release within stipulated timeframes.
- Critically reviewing the Department's Cabinet forward timetable to identify in-scope Cabinet submissions for proactive release and ensuring their proper management.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Providing strategic and operational advice to internal stakeholders on the proactive release of Cabinet submissions.
- Representing the department at meetings, committees, and interdepartmental working groups as the specialist on proactive release.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in governance, administration, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with policy areas and other government departments to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance with statutory requirements.
