As the Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high quality and strategic advice and supporting the Manager, Planning and Performance in meeting the requirements of the Queensland Government's Performance Management Framework.
- coordinate, and where necessary lead and participate, in the development, implementation and review of a collaborative performance management framework to ensure the delivery of high quality strategic advisory services
- design, implement and maintain appropriate reporting documentation to support a consistent and coherent suite of strategic performance management documents for the department which also ensures key linkages with other strategic portfolio projects
- lead, facilitate and/or participate in the management of strategic projects which require whole of government and/or whole of department participation to support the government's strategic objectives
- provide leadership to other divisional or departmental staff in relation to coordination of departmental performance management projects and quality advice, including engendering a shared commitment to the department's vision and values
- actively contribute as a senior member of the Governance, Planning and Reporting branch in the preparation of high-quality briefings, reports, and submissions on complex issues
- contribute to specific training and development of initiatives designed to strengthen the department's planning, performance activities
- provide high quality advice to management and staff on contemporary planning, performance management projects, issues, and trends.
