Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned nurse leader to join our team as an Emergency Department Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Emergency department team
  • Drive operational excellence in clinical management, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery
  • Coordinate evidence-based nursing care, promoting best practices throughout the unit
  • Ensure exceptional patient and family-centered care within a collaborative team environment
  • Offer guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues
  • Be accountable for strategic resource management, including human, financial, and material resources
  • Participate in direct patient care when necessary
  • Comply with ACQSHC National standards
  • Hold current registration with AHPRA
  • Possess a valid Working with Children check
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a NUM or equivalent role
  • Postgraduate qualification in critical care, with relevant experience in a critical care setting
  • A strong commitment to professional growth and development within a management capacity
  • Possession of a management degree, or actively working towards it (desired)
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR management
  • Sound knowledge base in labor management principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality clinical and customer-focused care
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment
