Nurse Unit Manager

The role of Emergency Department Manager is critical to the provision of high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe working environment for staff.
This position will provide leadership and direction to the Emergency department team, coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based and ensuring excellent patient and family centered care in a team focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing leadership and direction to the Emergency department team by establishing clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations
- Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based by reviewing and implementing policies and procedures related to emergency nursing practice
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centered care in a team focused environment by promoting a culture of safety and quality within the department
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team by fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources by monitoring and controlling costs, managing budgets, and making strategic decisions to achieve business objectives
- Current Registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse
- Working with Children check clearance
- Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent
- Post Graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role and contributing to the organization's vision and mission
