Leadership Opportunity in Emergency Care

This is a highly rewarding role for an experienced nurse to lead our emergency department team and ensure patients receive high-quality care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction to the emergency department team, ensuring efficient management of resources and effective delivery of evidence-based nursing care. You will be responsible for coordinating staff development, providing guidance and support to your team, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the emergency department team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce wait times
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain adherence to ACQSHC National standards and current Registration with AHPRA
Requirements
  • Post Graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience and sound knowledge base in workforce planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high degree of computer literacy
