Emergency Department Lead

This is a highly rewarding role for an experienced nurse to lead our emergency department team and ensure patients receive high-quality care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide strategic direction to the emergency department team, ensuring efficient management of resources and effective delivery of evidence-based nursing care. You will be responsible for coordinating staff development, providing guidance and support to your team, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct the emergency department team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce wait times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Maintain adherence to ACQSHC National standards and current Registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting
- Previous experience as a Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience and sound knowledge base in workforce planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high degree of computer literacy
