Senior Mental Health Clinician

  • A full-time permanent role in a senior clinical position with our Early Psychosis Program
  • We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team at Clarendon Clinic in East Melbourne
Job Description:

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with clients and their families/carers to provide high-quality clinical assessment, treatment, and support. Utilizing the Strengths Model of Case Management and working within a recovery-oriented framework, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care to individuals experiencing first episode psychosis.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing leadership and supervision to staff while maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance with consumers and their families/carers. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing, treating, and delivering targeted interventions to those affected by early psychosis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Current registration with relevant Australian health bodies (e.g., AHPRA)
  2. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in mental health services (or 7 years for allied health professionals)
  3. Demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention, and case management services for individuals with early psychosis, as well as supporting their carers and families within a recovery-focused approach
  4. Experience in providing clinical supervision to other mental health staff
  5. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022 (and amendments)
  6. Valid Victorian driver's license and willingness to undergo mandatory immunizations/vaccinations
