Are you a skilled and dependable individual with a knack for organization? We are currently in search of a Senior Maintenance Hand to oversee our water supply and operational functions. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and is crucial for maintaining the health and efficiency of our livestock operations.
The successful candidate will lead our Bore and Maintenance teams, which play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the station. Responsibilities include independently driving company vehicles to inspect diesel and solar pumps, as well as monitoring troughs, tanks, and water sources. The Maintenance team will also be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various property assets, equipment, fencing, and infrastructure, ensuring everything remains in safe and optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of water supply systems.
- Monitor and report on the condition of livestock and infrastructure.
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment and property assets.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
- Experience in a supervisory role is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Mechanically inclined with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Valid manual driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse individuals.
- Highly reliable and trustworthy.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong written and numerical skills.
