About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions in Mount Isa, QLD. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers' on-site operations by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
  • Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
  • Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
  • Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies

Requirements

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong and proven safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Class C Manual Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
