About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our Electrical Communications section at George Fisher Mine. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside Auto Electricians and Radio Technicians to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the highest level of safety commitment and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining site vehicles and equipment to the highest standards.
  • Working independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary trade team.
  • Performing servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance change outs, as well as field work.
  • Working on a range of mobile mining equipment, including Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, and Komatsu.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance our operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Auto Electrical.
  • The ability to read and interpret auto electrical schematics.
  • A minimum of 2 years' industry experience working as a qualified tradesperson.
  • Strong fault-finding skills for electrical systems and machines.
  • Efficiency with OEM diagnostics tooling.
  • A current Australian manual driver's license.
  • Automation experience is beneficial but not essential.
