About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of our client's fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment, working on-site and in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of Sandvik Underground Mining equipment, including but not limited to underground development and production drills.
  • Carrying out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Underground Mining equipment.
  • Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements and adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.
  • Supporting technicians from other regions and assisting in training, working effectively either in a team environment or autonomously.

Requirements

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus.
  • Basic computer literacy, ability to work unsupervised, and a Class C Manual Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
