About the Role
As the Public Art Project Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing the operations of the City's Public Art Program, driving the development and implementation of new public art projects, and fostering internal and external relationships. Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice, coordinating public art projects, managing project documentation, and ensuring alignment with best practices for diverse cultural engagement.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a liaison for stakeholders in public art project proposals.
• Foster collaborative relationships with council teams and community partners.
• Champion the involvement of artists, promoting investment and innovation.
• Deliver and support public art projects, including those involving First Nation's artists.
• Manage project documentation, including procurement, reporting, and evaluation.
• Identify and secure grant funding and manage related reporting requirements.
• Coordinate public art events and facilitate community participation in projects.
• Provide guidance on the care and management of outdoor art collections.
• Adhere to Council policies and contribute to creating an inclusive, child-safe environment.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge and experience in the arts and cultural industries.

Essential Experience
• Proven project management skills, with a strong track record of managing public art projects.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience developing project management tools and facilitating networks.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications with experience or substantial relevant professional experience.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
