Job Description

Northern Rivers Community Gateway is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Accounts and Recruitment Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and values-driven organization that provides welfare and community capacity building programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Business Support and People and Culture Branch by undertaking a range of accounts, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and WH&S responsibilities.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's financial and HR functions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Ability to work under direction from the Manager Business Support/People and Culture.
  • Sound understanding of payroll and accounts payable.
  • Sound understanding of awards and Fair Work conditions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with people.
  • Proficiency and experience in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and a computerized HR/Payroll system.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience using Reckon accounting software or similar software.
  • Experience in Recruitment and Onboarding software (HRIS).
Additional Requirements
  • Current NSW Drivers license.
  • A National Criminal History Records check.
