About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts and Recruitment Officer to join our team at Northern Rivers Community Gateway. As a key member of our Business Support and People and Culture Branch, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of accounts, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and WH&S responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including advertising, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including managers and team members
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Support and People and Culture Branch
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including awards and Fair Work conditions
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a Human Resources role
  • Ability to work under direction from the Manager Business Support/People and Culture
  • Sound understanding of payroll and accounts payable
  • Sound understanding of awards and Fair Work conditions
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with people
  • Proficiency and experience in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerised HR/Payroll system
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience using Reckon accounting software or similar software
  • Experience in Recruitment and Onboarding software (HRIS)
Additional Requirements
  • Current NSW Drivers licence
  • A National Criminal History Records check
