About the Role

Fuse Recruitment is seeking a skilled Home Assessor to join our team in the Claims department. As a Home Assessor, you will play a critical role in assessing and reporting on damages, discussing and agreeing upon best repair methods with our panel of home repairers and internal claims team, while ensuring exceptional customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Damage Assessment: Attend clients' properties (physically or virtually) and accurately report on building damage to domestic insured properties, in line with policy coverage.
  • Scope of Works: Provide accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events.
  • Claims Support: Review expert reports, provide technical advice and recommendations on policy coverage to our claims team.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submit reports, review SOW's and documentation in a timely manner (as per set SLA's).
  • Best Method of Repair: Determine and advise on the overall best method of repair of the building.
  • Virtual Assessments: Conduct virtual/desktop assessments and triage.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory and industry requirements.
  • Interstate Travel: May be required for CAT events.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Background: Background in producing accurate scopes of works.
  • Time Management: Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Communication: Reputable communication skills and conflict resolution handling.
  • Management: Experience in managing, coaching and appraising builders.
  • Relationships: Proven experience in building effective business relationships with builders.
  • Insurance: Insurance experience preferred, but not essential.
