As a passionate team player, you'll join our Corporate Sustainability Team as a First Nations Partnership Specialist, reporting directly to the Sustainability Manager. This role requires strong leadership skills to develop and implement policies that champion First Nations partnerships, foster respectful relationships, and drive cultural understanding across our organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Strategy Development: Lead the creation of policies and practices to advance our commitment to First Nations partnerships, ensuring strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our engagement with First Nations communities is culturally informed and trauma-aware.
- Talent Pathways: Design and implement career pathways for First Nations recruitment, retention, and development, working closely with People & Culture to support our diverse talent pipeline.
- Cultural Learning: Develop and deliver educational materials on cultural safety and appropriateness, promoting cultural understanding and positive engagement company-wide.
We offer an estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including flexible work options, professional development opportunities, and a supportive workplace culture.
About You
- Extensive experience in First Nations engagement, consultation, and advocacy within an organisational context.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols, customs, and diverse perspectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to design and implement strategies that uplift cultural awareness and support equity.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field are highly regarded.
