This role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families residing in rural and remote Queensland.
About the Role:As a Child and Family Support Worker, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to provide vital support and services to families, focusing on early childhood development, parenting resilience, and community participation.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering early childhood development programs, parenting initiatives, and mobile services to regional communities
- Designing and implementing strategies to strengthen family relationships, facilitate early intervention, and prevent adverse outcomes
- Enhancing First Nations/Multicultural community engagement and supporting family functioning
- Providing guidance, information, and referral pathways to stakeholders
- Fostering awareness of children's wellbeing and promoting holistic approaches to supporting early childhood education
You will spend approximately 60% of your work hours travelling and overnighting in remote locations, allowing you to explore the outback while interacting with children and families in various settings.
